On January 27, days before the first Republican primary in Iowa, the London Press Club joins with Republicans Overseas for a straw poll and debate at the Telegraph offices.
As the race to become the Republican candidate starts in earnest, will Donald Trump poll ahead of senators Marcio Rubio and Ted Cruz – or could a late surge put Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina or another name in the frame?
A top panel includes Kate Andrews, comms director for the Adam Smith Institute and Republicans Overseas spokesperson; House of Cards author and former Consvervative Party chief of staff and deputy chairman Lord Dobbs; historian, columnist and Telegraph leader writer Tim Stanley; and Justin Webb, Today presenter and former BBC Washington correspondent. The discussion will be chaired by Colin Bloom, director of outreach for the Conservative Party.
6.30pm, Telegraph Media Group, 111 Buckingham Palace Road. Free places are limited, with priority given to London Press Club members. Email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not currently a member you can join the London Press Club for £20-40 here.
