On January 27 Pagefield and the London Press Club present Campaigning Newspapers In A Digital Age at the News Building, News UK’s new London Bridge HQ.
Britain’s local and national newspapers have a proud campaigning history – but the rise and rise of online activism, social media and crowd-sourced campaign tools have changed the relationship between activists, editors and readers.
As we look ahead to 2015, Pagefield and the London Press Club – kindly hosted by News UK – are bringing together some of the UK’s best campaigners and journalists, to share the inside stories from their most successful campaigns and reflect on what the rise of the online activist means for newspapers, businesses and politicians.
6pm drinks for 6.30pm debate. Panel to be announced but London Press Club members can reserve their space now, before public booking, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
